Sounds good to me. Do it now and find out the normal and peak temps without a trailer. Anything over that while towing means slow down!

Sounds like a good idea, but take note of what the temperature does when you get up to speed. Will air rushing past the transmission cause it to read lower than the actual temperature? You might need to insulate it with the transmission to avoid wind interference. I vote bottom.

The G2 comes with plenty of under-body aero panels and the transmission is isolated, but I could put it at the back of the pan... but I was thinking of using a tap thermometer probe that would be exposed directly to the cvt fluid not one just stuck on the side.

I installed a hitch, use it but...
Keep speeds down,
Occasionally tow a tow dolly,
Changed fluid n filter once since acquiring the G2 n will change it more often,
Learn, re-learn to drive again..., with it behind you

But if it gets cold again (because global warming isn't real, right guys?</sarcasm>) then it'll go back in.
Wait..The cooling fan comes on at only 86 degrees Celsius? That's only 187 degrees Fahrenheit! My car operates at 186, and the fan runs at 202! Does this car have a water jacket around the exhaust manifold like the Gen 1?

Yeah so the car seems to operate at 82°C and then when it hits 86°C the fan comes on. I don't know about a water jacket... to be honest I don't even know what that is.

I put the radiator block back in before going to work today... it's gotten cold again here, and is going to freeze tonight.

And a week later the block is removed once again. That was probably the last time it could be used until fall.

Meanwhile the forecast is for 9 degrees tomorrow, here. I'm looking forward to things warming up, I have a long list of my own projects on hold because of snow and wet and cold.

I need to get a long list... I just love working on cars but I'm not sure what else to do to this one. Well, I have a few things...

1: Fix lower front bumper aero. There's like a rubber component that got damaged by the previous owner, I ordered new clips for it today.
2: Replace front tires with Bridgestone Ecopias.
3: Get window tint.

Numbers 2 and 3 are pricey, so I've been reluctant to do them. But the tint probably needs to happen sooner rather than later. The Silver one had tint already when I bought it so I lucked out with that one.

Is there anything else I can do to this car? I could do a Warm Air Intake, but I don't want the radiator fan coming on.

Oh I looked at the feasibility of a full-regen brake switch, but I need to order the steering wheel clockspring from an EX because it will have more connectors than this one has. Turns out this car has two switches that get pressed by the brakes, I might have to close both those circuits with my button, though I suppose I could use a relay.
