Everything. New suspension, cleaning out the interior and restoring/replacing everything that is torn or worn or broken. Going to fiberglass or bondo the body, sand it, rebuild certain aero features (possibly the nose), possibly replace the hood and front fenders with lighter carbon pieces as the ones on it are rough, give it a nice paint job. Probably a new windshield. At that point I'll start on improving the Aero parts of Aerocivic.

Sounds good. Will you aim for new car quality or show car quality?

I'm not sure if I have the skills to reach either, but I'm going to do my best with a reasonable budget to make it the best vehicle it can be. I'm not going to hire out any body work if I can avoid it, for instance.

Maybe I'll be aiming for "well loved" from a starting point of "very tired".

There is a category called 'over-restored'.

Maybe I should have asked, what's in Michigan that you can't do where you are currently?

I see you mentioned closing (assuming your current house), are you moving to Michigan?

That's correct. I expect to be on the ground in Michigan no later than 3-4 weeks, so I need to get the rear suspension at least put back together before then.

If you're driving through NY and have any problems, I can try to help.

Made some progress! 7 or so hours, mostly with the help of an angle grinder and a sledge, and a bit of welding, and I solved every problem except the one of the bolt broken off in the chassis. I have a replacement bolt waiting to go in upon the arrival of the proper tap and drill bit.
