Points taken there something to consider for sure.

As far as the mileage I have abused transmissions with 380k, 573k, and 415k which was a mercedes(used as an undercover police car with mucha crazy driving once even ended up standing vertical!) Dodge d150 and a Dodge cargo van. So the mileage part doesn't scare me a bit but the part where it damaged in short order that part I am familiar with, once forgot to hook up a tv cable on a 700r4 in a car with 450hp.....gone in a few minutes....

I did do EOCing with a 2000 Caravan 3-Litre, though that was above the speed the manual stated.

I was about to say this I did the same thing in my 99 and my 01. No problems ever.

Ok I started slow yesterday, just did alot of EOC to park and to the mailbox. Didn't do EOC on any hills yet. No noticeable feel to transmission. Checked my fluid yesterday before started and will check it today with white paper again to see if I see anything.

I do it in my 08 chevy work van too and my Gfs 09 jetta and I used to do it in a dodge neon a ford explorer and a 96 contour. no problems ever.

Ok tried it on a particular hill but did not seem to coast as far as usual, will test some more this week to see if this is the case. If it is the case would seem to indicate that would be better not to do this...

Ok did some more testing and it coasted just fine, I might have coasted sooner yesterday than I usually do. Tonight I made sure to coast at the usual starting spot.

My odyssey has a similar 35 mph / 50 miles restriction. Since I'm only coasting for distances well below 50 miles, I feel I can push the speed a bit higher. That said, the benefits to eoc diminish at higher speeds. Neutral coasting gets more and more efficient at higher speeds, because you have a fixed idle fuel consumption divided over an increasing distance covered. I don't bother at highway speeds.

* in the Ody. My manual Fit spends more time in EOC than it does running.
