Dropped the extended diffuser about 1/2" after I got to Wichita. I'll see what it will do on the trip home. Not sure if the cold front affected my MPGs as much as it did but it was about 21.5mpg between Ardmore and Wichita...which is normally well above 26mpg during the summer runs. 
Ended up cutting the side skirts...I'll see if this does anything fer the crosswinds or not. 
I'll paint the beam flat black later on before I start driving back home.

Gitting packed up to head back home. Another cold front is coming in and it will probably be down in the low 30's by the time I git on the road. Brrrr...

Hit 28.31mpg on the trip from Wichita to Ardmore with the cruise set to 65mph. It's usually around 23-25mpg.
Even maintained over 25.5mpg from Ardmore to Houston...with some speeds up to 100mph. I usually see under 25mpg at 65mph.
Nothing fell off or got ripped off at those speeds.
So I was thinking...the rear wheel skirts rubbed on the inside exposing the ribs. Wouldn't some of the air pressure being generated escape through those ribs and out the back side of the rear wheel skirts via the ribbed channels? Any data to suggest that using a channeled extractor setup would help?

One question, why don't you install side skirts between the wheels? I think that putting those further to the front would give you better air flow.
And moon discs on the front wheels

I do have rear side skirts between the rear axle wheels if that's what you were referring to. They become the outer fence fer the rear diffuser.
Side skirts were full skirts but I had some problems with cross winds...so I just cut them down.
Moon disc covers sound nice but won't fit on my alloy rims.

Unless you are willing to use the Bonneville racing style (which require drilling and tapping three small screw holes in your alloy rims) instead of the stainless snap-on style.

LOL, thats always a good thing!
I wouldnt worry about those ribs if i were you(unless your not gonna finish them, that is, i am a tad hungry )
The pure volume of air flowing in-out through smaller than straw size holes, 'efficiently' at that, is not worth the thought really. with the plastic already there as a guide, its already keeping the pressures seperated which is the main thing really

After running with full rear wheel skirts fer the past 6 months, I've removed the lower portion of the rear wheel skirts to git some numbers. I'm already missing the MPG numbers I've been gitting with them installed.
Made a run up and back to College Station in light traffic yesterday. MPGs going up with no load in the bed was an indicated 23.5mpg at 65mph. Coming back I got 24.2mpg at 65mph.
