cheap aero wheel covers for 15'' steel
They were made for 90-94 chevy lumina with 15 inch steel wheels.
Their GM part number is 10055205.
They seem to fit just about any 15 inch GM steel wheel and will clear the bearing hub on my 2wd suburban.
These wheel covers might fit a lot more than just GM 15 inch wheels.
You can get them NIB for cheap.
I got 2 that were used for next to nothing (1 pictured), will ebay 2 or 3 more and refinish the 2 free ones I have.
I think as far as looks go i like them they work on a suburban, any chevy truck or any GM product in general.
The wording says "chevy motors division".
All you have to do is go on ebay, or go to a used parts dealer, search 10055205, get them and pop them on to any 15 inch GM steel wheel.
Edit: final tally...
Got 5 covers for $80
2 used for free
1 NIB for $20
2 reconditioned for $60

Hm-m-m-m, wonder if there's a 16-inch diameter version available (to fit my '09 Vibe with 16" rims)?

With truck tires the 15 inch to 16 inch size difference represents a big jump in price.
I for one dont need or see the point in having load range D tires on a half ton, 15 inch load range C are plenty for me.
16 inch tires are not economical for me.

My 4 original covers are still going strong.
They have not come off, they don't rust (made mostly of injection molded nylon/fiberglass), they have not discolored and I never need to retighten anything.

The stock Smart ForTwo covers look to be pretty decent:
They are 15" wheels, if I am not mistaken.

For my winter tires I've bought a set of cheap 15" hubcaps from Conrad.
At less than 5 € each they were cheap enough to mess with and not worry about it.
They are slightly convex just like moon disks, but they have holes and a center dimple.
Still looking for the best way and material to cover those up.
Suggestions are more than welcome.
