I just thought there should have been a remote-controlled car with a camera pointed at his undercarriage.

Here's the best update I have:
Stating the obvious here, but E2's investors quit putting money in. As far as I know, the CEO is going solo, funding some work on his own and likely continuing to look for a licensee or buyer.

My experience with E2 was they hired me, ran out of money 3 months later and let me go. I did volunteer work for a almost a year maintaining online presence and communication, but no one at E2 initiated dialog about possible or eventual compensation, so I shut down that work Jan 1, 2014. The phone hasn't rung regarding that work, and E2's online sites have sat idle since.

Occasionally the CEO hints on his facebook page he intends to keep E2 alive and go it alone. Other than that, no one from E2 is discussing the future of the company and its products, and the public has been in the dark for 9 months with no end in sight.

If this concerns E2, no one is talking. Personally, I'm not in favor of that, but I'm not in a position anymore to do anything about it. Without getting into detail, I worked very hard on something before and after Jan 1, 2014 to keep things moving forward with E2 and keep the Xprize dream alive. In the end, my best efforts weren't enough. I hate to say it -- you guys are on your own.

If anyone wants to stay in touch with me, message me your email. I can provide additional info and keep you updated on what I'm doing next.

Thanks and good luck!

Good. Maybe this will force his to focus on the in-wheel steering and bring it to market as an aftermarket part. If you have contact numbers for them, you might pass that along for me.

I very much appreciate all the hard work you put into the Facebook, blogs, Aptera Forum, Ecomodder, and all the other outreach programs. I really wanted this company to see the light of day. I had a great conversation with Oliver when he was out here to speak at Stanford and Berkeley just prior to your Xprize road trip. It seemed at the time, the pieces were coming together. I'm saddened that it did not happen.

Oliver did a TED talk in February about the lightening of cars...somewhat related to VLC. In his Facebook page he indicates that he is still working on Edison2 VLC, and that is encouraging to me since I still want to get my hands on one of these awesome vehicles. Since my ride in the VLCe with Oliver a couple of years ago, I've been aching to get one of my own.

Well my friend, I think the time is now.
Nobody else is getting it done, so I'm just going to have to make it happen with the Indy One. Part of the issue is the big money demands product 'perfection'. I have a saying "Good Enough Is Perfect". The Indy One is going to be Perfect. Good Enough to make it happen.
