The Mitsubishi Mirage is the WORST CAR you can buy!
Never mind 50 mpg driven conservatively, and 60+ mpg when hypermiled!
Doug DeMuro's take...

And here's the written version of his review, if you don't care to watch the vid:

I'll have the last laugh with my 50mpg-Mirage owners everywhere.

Haha, entertaining video. I do agree with him on some parts like the handling is very vague. However, I also love the car for a lot of the reasons he criticizes. I love that there isn't some plastic bits covering up all the bolts and other stuff.

"The car rolls like a North Sea trawler..." was one of my favourite lines in another review of the 2014 model. AND I agreed - it was pretty terrible. (Suspension & steering were tightened up for the 2017's and on.)
Ride plushness of a 1970's Cadillac, though!

Looks better equipped than my Insight. FOUR SPEAKERS? AUX INPUT? They even offer cruise control as an option? In fact, I think the only thing he mentioned my Insight has which it doesn't is the steering lock

Not having steering lock means you can coast with the ignition off and sell the car with less miles on the odo.

Mitsubishi is a vehicle brand I avoid, although I have no experience with the Mirage. The Eclipse was a fairly lame car. I prefer Japanese makes, but Mitsubishi and Suzuki are 2 that I don't even consider. This thing is worse than the Aveo, huh? Even Nissan versa?
