Finally broke 60 mpg (bone stock '95 Honda Civic VX)

Filled up the VX today and recorded 62.92
Not bad for a 100% stock 95VX. Little more than driving mods.(eoc, p&g), and running 50psi on tires. Psg mirror is folded in but as of right now no other aero mods. Next step a few mods and see where she goes. Nice how really paying attention to how you drive can pay you back in so many ways.

Nice! You've pretty much put the $9000 Civic VX built by Import Tuner magazine to shame, with a basically stock car.

Yes, as I have less than a third of the cost of theirs into mine.

nice!

Civics have viturally no blind spot...you can completely remove the passenger mirror...then replace it with a wide angle rear view mirror

Well as I have tinted windows on my vx Wa state requires that I have a psg side mirror. Planning on going with an interior convex should fit the bill.

CA requires a passenger mirror too... but still roll without one because i live in the danger zone.

I got pulled over by highway patrol once because i was driving to slow...the cop asked me what all my stuff is on my car..i told him its aero to help with mpg...he laughed...gave me a verbal warning about my missing mirror.... then he left.

Congrats, Bugzilla. What type of driving was the 60 mpg tank (cruising speed, conditions, traffic, etc)?

Awesome. And no "lightweight shifter knob" for thirty bucks!

60mpg tank was 60/40 hwy/city. 55mph on hwy most of the time. City was touch and go but nothing really slowing me down. Weather warm and dry. In reality I was shocked. Was expecting right about 58 as usual. 62.92 was a pleasant surprise.
