In my case, I don't think a '90 Accord would have DFCO. (My long-awaiting-final-assembly MPGuino would know for sure.) Of course, the other problem is that, at least for the couple of times I've tried it, I almost never needed engine braking, and if I left it in gear, I'd have to do some acceleration in some of the more gentle flat-to-uphill parts around Gorman.
