You could channel the body 1 1/2" on the truck frame; but slanting the front clip would be easier. ...if you choose to.

But in any case, the strut/clip join would be a good place for a swan-neck mirror.

Yup. Give 'em the grief right back. Yours is the more useful thing of beauty, parts are everywhere, nobody has one like it, and it gets killer FE.

I have taken my boat car to perhaps a dozen car shows,
and it is always a hit with the crowd, , I will comment that you open yourself up for folks to share what they would have done differently.
choosing where to compete for a trophy is important, consider the motivations of the judges and who the sponsors are.

When I talked to some younger folks about your project, even though I tried to keep a neutral stance, it's been more frequently criticized. You know, such a radical move from an old-school layout to a Prius driveline is still surprising and may lead to some passionate reactions. If they give you any grief just start adding rusty metal to it, and fill all the holes with chrome spikes.

The contrast between the vehicle and drivertain should give people frisson (goosebumps).

Else, you could murder it out and paint a big number or garage signage on the door. What does it look like with the hood but no fenders? You could paint all the shiny aluminum black.
