I drive my leaf at high speed and use it like a pickup truck, people who drive their leaf like a golf cart and use it as a golf cart get much better efficiency.

Probably a decade ago I made the comment on this forum that an EV would likely have me pay less attention to efficiency because it's dirt cheap. When we're talking the difference between 2 cents per mile and 2.1, it's not something I care to bother with, and would rather just get to my destination sooner. Now that we've got solar, the juice is "free".

That was my experience. When I first got the Spark EV I was driving exactly the speed limit in the right lane, not using that massive torque to accelerate, and driving without the HVAC unless absolutely needed. Then I found out the difference was 5.5 miles per kWh or 5. That is $0.0218 per mile vs $0.024.

Driving 8,500 miles per year that comes out to $18.70 per year.

The under trey nearly ripped off my leaf, so I took it off my leaf. That resulted in at least a 10% range loss.
I'll be reattaching it's pretty beat up, has some holes in it. I also need to build a steel one. Probably out of 1/8 inch diamond plate.

Can the leaf tow a 30ft boom lift?

Yes it can. The 30ft boomlift weighs about 3,000lb.
Aerodynamic penalty and rolling resistance more than cuts range in half at 65mph.

All I have done is traced out a template of the shape and location of screw holes on a big cardboard box incase the original is lost. I would like to keep the originalas long as possible. A steel one will weigh about 40 pounds.
