Wheelcovers are abs plastic and he got those from me. So those were Tunecovers without any holes. He then drilled that center hole himself.
All mods are homemade. I think rear fender skirts are 1-2mm aluminium sheet. Attached with angle irons like in my Lupo first to the body and then to that sheet. I think you can see same method in right front tire splatter which was made from clear PC.

It's refered to early in Vekke's Lupo 2L thread:

Congrats to both Vekke and the owner. Very slick looking!
How I miss my A2 3L ...

Even if it's only 2 % , it's 2% better
It'll be far easier to get away with an unobtrusive box cavity here in Europe than with a fullblown boattail
Those Vikings way up in the Nordic woods can get away with a bit more than the rest of us on the old continent.

Or just put "2.5l/100km to mpg" in Google.

Nice details such as the Audi center cap on the wheel covers, the row of lights in the front end,and those mini mirrors too !
BTW, Why does it appear as if he left his mud flaps on behind his front wheels ? Surely this is something else.

Those are custom mud flaps. They will evolve to mudflap boattails when they are ready. like I wrote this car is driven on gravel roads and this Audi has quite nice paint at the moment and it is ruined quite fast without mudflaps. I had similar boattails in my Seat and similar will come to my lupo also.

Perhaps you would have an opinion on this:
Scaled down of course, I did this for a guy with a truck. The belt material would only be fastened along two edges, to allow it to flex.

Did I mention my two sheets of 24"x48" ABS plastic? It is stiff enough on its own? I kind of thought there was trim going around it, but that must be the actual rim. My rims have centercaps. I just do not have any idea how I could attach ABS discs or the aluminum ones that I found at a restaurant supply store.
I honestly do not know what my previous plan was, fiberglassing my own hubcaps... Hmmm...

That is 3mm thick ABS is stiff enough.
Freebeard design work before the tires perfectly.
I have plans to make it also closed from back side so it works also after tire. Try to get it from one piece sheet. First the shape is modeled is 3D and after that printed to paper and cut to shape and glued/vulcanised together. Finally attached to car frame like freebeards model

A few ecomodders have those on their vehicles.
Works even better if you make one on both ends of the wheel - and connect them with a plate on the inside to shield the tyre from the air.
Remember that the airflow on the underside of the car is not aligned with the car.
The air wants to get out between the front and rear wheels, so you get almost diagonal flow in front of the rear wheels.
It'd help to align the rear wheel spats with that flow, rather than make them parallel to the car body - it's likely also part of the reason why a narrower rear track is an advantage.
