You lost me there.
6 trips to get 1500-2000 lbs of wood ?
That's only 250-333 lbs per trip.

It's about half a cord each trip.

Cord (unit) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In the old continent not everyone would know what a cord is. Or firewood. Can't burn it in my gas-burning central heating system. When I chop a tree it goes out with the other garden mulch.
I have a weak spot for unusual or archaic units; my last name is derived from one.
When Napoleon conquered Holland he introduced new units and made family names mandatory; killing the old units but preserving some of them in the naming system.

I have a trailer design for the beetle now. Something multi purpose, 2000 pound capacity.

Oops. I seem to have misread that.
Half a cord in one go is much more like it

could have been written a little less ambiguously.

Non Trailer options
You know roof racks and bins, and / or hitch rack and bins may have more weight limitations but are a lot more economical that dragging a trailer.
Still not enough posts to show trailer substitute.
Oh, there is a more aerodynamic configuration for the green step stools. But we did this instead of pulling a trailer. We got 21.3 mpg on the trip, and went a lot faster than when we averaged 17.3 the year before. (10 to 20 mph faster) But the trailer was a 5x8 enclosed with 4' walls. I think we would have got 18 to 19 had we used the trailer with lower walls. (and the higher speed profile) The trips were somewhat different as well. (chicago to colorado vs chicago to wyoming)

I also thought that the one small wheel it had would need bearings often. It also shifted from side to side in an unnerving way when the bike was on it. click, click on the hitch, but mostly I think they don't catch on because of the suspension issue. Just my experience with a one wheel trailer.

I wouldn't use a trailer in a motorcycle, but the ones I saw in my most recent trip to Pelotas (a city halfway from my hometown to the Uruguayan border) had 2 wheels.

It will have an aero shell on it that will hinge either forward or to either side as needed.
Ideally I will make some sides for it so I can lift the top up and camp under it.
