I was following a late model (2013 or 2014) Land Rover Range Rover the other day. Taillights seemed awful close together. As I looked closer I could see the tail end was quite tapered.

Playing with the template, the top view follows it to about 40%!

From a press release about its aerodynamics:
With its more streamlined and rounded profile, the new model is the most aerodynamic Range Rover ever, achieving a drag coefficient (Cd) of 0.34, a 10 percent improvement compared to the outgoing vehicle. Aerodynamic underfloor paneling has been incorporated to create a smooth, flat profile under the vehicle. Additional deflectors have been added around the front and rear suspension components, with front and rear undertrays around the main driveline components. Enhanced air flow features include near-flush glazing on the A-pillars and vehicle side glass; separation edges incorporated in the rear lamps and D-pillars; aerodynamic shaping of the door mirrors and upper rear spoiler.

.34, not too bad for what some would call a large brick.

Concept Cars at Wayne's Garage Auto Repair shop serving Eugene - Springfield Oregon

Quote:
The Simca Fulgur was a concept car from 1958 and first displayed at the 1959 Geneva Auto Show. It was also displayed at the New York Auto Show, and the 1961 Chicago Auto Show. The concept car was intended to show what cars in the year 2000 would look like. It was imagined it would be atomic powered, voice controlled and guided by radar. When driven over 150 miles an hour it would use only two wheels balanced by gyroscopes.

Here's one I saw a couple of weekends ago. Some of the finest Art Deco "streamline" styling.

Probably not that aerodynamic, but it sure is gorgeous...

I don't know if the Sunrise EV2 is already included in this thread, or not.

The Sunrise EV2 Project

Apparently, about 10 of these chassis were built (carbon fiber) and they are getting EV drivetrains by their current owners. One apparently drove 377 miles on a single charge, using the EV1 NiMH battery pack.

According to Search — no. Last mention was at http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...tml#post317655 in 2012.

The linked site was created in 2008, the tabled navigation links and un-antialiased Times text screams 1995. The last update was last November.

The picture you posted must be a model, the build progress photos show recessed wipers, a one piece front end and considerably different rear wheelwells.

Edit: OK, so that's the original 1994 car. The staging makes it look like a model.
