^^^To go with the 4-wheel steering.
The way the front splitter segues into a Morelli-style rocker area is slick.
The in-dash navigation system was a good call for 1988, in retrospect.

I like the Pursuit.
kach22i's video shows a drawing that confirms the Morelli influence. The link xntrx added explains that it is front-engined four-wheel drive. I was wondering about that, but it turns out they laid the engine over on it's side 'like a dirt track racer' to get that low hood line.
The fly-by-wire steering needed a feedback loop. I wonder why they didn't use a selsyn motor. It's pretty obsure, maybe they hadn't heard about it.

kachi that is one of the sweetest "real" cars I have seen in a while. Things like this make me glad that I am still attached to this thread. After a few posts I discontinue most other threads.

From times past, I know we're just seeing the highlights of Random TRANSPORTATION pictures - Page 1372 - Pelican Parts Technical BBS. They contiue to deliver—1376 pages worth!
In the 1980s I used to find newsstand copies of Chrome&Flames magazine. It was filled with that customs like that. I saw one at Bonneville that looked like this, a Volvo:
Edit; I copy pasta'd that link and it changed the page number. Let it stand.
