Imagine what Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters could have done with this. It's got a rooftop stage and an elevator.

Talk about your pontoon fenders. ...and boat tail.

The Renault Filante Record 2025 is a crazy-looking concept car that is also functional and will attempt to set efficiency and range records this year.
The thin body is fashioned from carbon fiber and designed to cut through the air with minimal drag.
The Filante features steer-by-wire, brake-by-wire, extensive use of lightweight materials, and unique friction-reducing tires from Michelin.

Related curiosity: www.caranddriver.comRenault R5 Turbo 3E Is a Psychedelic Electric Drifting Restomod
There's no closeup of the wheels, but they seem to be the same except for the proportions - A cone shaped center section --smaller in front, massively bigger in back
- A flat lip --wider in front, narrow in the back
- An impeller duct around the rim
Weight distribution under braking? Airflow through the front wheelwells?

Wow!
Clone this onto an off-road Beetle chassis! How many aerodynamic nuances can you find? - Perforated base plate at the rear
- yin-yang airscoops on the hubcaps
- Colani's signature single 360° windshield wiper

The Chevrolet Moray is still my favorite bubble-top coupe, but here's an example from Norway in the 1950s. Merc flathead with twin Strombergs.

RETRO CAR again.
I like this a lot. Any open-wheel or pontoon-fendered cars; but this is an interesting aerodynamic exercise.
The cycle fenders and sprung bumpers, the narrow body and the Bugatti doors and paint cut line are right out of the 1930s.
The headlights are unfortunate. Maybe Woodlites?

I can see the appeal, but for me it is close.
I would have rather seen a more upright grille and windscreen and more graceful rear taper that might allow for air attachment.
At a more intellectual level, the disingenuous front engine rear drive looking car was actually rear engine and mid-engined.
We were taught to avoid such things in architecture school, but architecture/building is still the more abused profession and full of folly, misdirection and fakery.
At least this car is cute, and I would own it at the right price.

They would need to be sprung for real world use where you actually want a suspension but that's doable.
