My colour touch is working great in my 1996 4.0 fuel injected Cherokee.
Usually accurate now to within 1 litre per fill, and i have a 120L tank.

Love the Distance to Empty feature.

Glen, did the older versions have built in Bluetooth?
Wouldn't mind checking it out the app.

The link you provided doesnt take you to the site.
Perhaps this one will..

Cheers,

Hey mate, glad to hear she's still performing well. Mine is also accurate on the 100 series to under a litre in a 130L fill. I believe the difference to be pump or fill method myself, but either way <1% accuracy is damn livable.

Unfortunately the Bluetooth isn't on your board, but we can sort that out one day in person.

The app is on the Play store for android use. search "Mpguino Blue"

I need some support to get into the apple process, it requires an outlay to get a developer license and I have no way of testing it myself on an apple device. The program is written using a cross platform design so it in theory should work out the box, but things like screen rotation problems and bluetooth comms may need testing.

recently it was installed on an outboard fuel injected boat, with great results for just measuring fuel flow for trimming the motors in a cruise.

The dynamic graph is mesmerizing when driving :P very useful, and changing settings over bluetooth is far easier than using the touch screen.

Pictures of the app are on the mpguino page of my website.

Can the software be ported to the Raspberrry Pi 4? I have one I wanted to use with a 7" capacitive touch screen (currently out of stock )?

Hi there,

Clicking on the link above works for me. Try Glengineering Services

The adaption board I am selling outputs a serial stream that could be interrogated by a raspberry pi.

A raspberry pi itself I believe doesn't have triggers quick enough to measure a fuel injector and requires the arduino, but you could use the serial output/input feature Ive implemented to view data and control the unit in the same way the mobile app works.

I have recently installed a unit on an outboard motor utilizing the bluetooth control only. The guy uses it to trim his motor angle and find the perfect cruising speed looking at the L/Hour readout (or gallon if you're keen) from his fuel injected outboard motor.

Install was a snap and it worked flawlessly.

Also I have updated the info page on my website, let me know if I'm missing anything.

Cheers all

Does this work on older, pre ODB2 vehicles ?
I had a SuperMid for a while, and I'm guessing this is similar ?

How easy is it to install ?

And lastly, does the unit save the data when you turn off the vehicle ?

- Thanks

Unless it deviates significantly from the original MPGuino,

1) Yes, it works on (almost) any EFI vehicle.

2) You splice 1 wire into an injector ground, and one into the VSS. I did both of these just before the ECU.

3) Yes, it allows tracking of instant, trip and tank MPG, as well as tracking engine-off coasting distance.

I'm going to risk ordering one of these to New Zealand to go on my 2000 Mitsubishi Lancer GLXi Wagon.

The website is a bit dodgy though as it is not secure, but it is possible to click on the PayPal Buy Now button and it comes up with a https:// window.
