Dad lost power Friday from 8:00am-3:00 PM. He chose the Ryobi 120v inverter to power essential circuits on the house instead of the other 5 generators he's got. They were too buried by duplicates of other stuff (how many electric tillers does one need?) to easily access.
It has 4x 40v 6Ah batteries = 960 Wh. Dad actually had a proper interlock installed in the breaker panel, so it's plug and play.
I'm critical of how much stuff he buys, but he did have an "extra" generator when I needed one during the week of no power.

My brother lost power for a couple days in a big windstorm a few months back. He kept his fridge powered off of his F150s factory 400 watt power inverter. He didn't much enjoy his 2 days so he went out and bought a 7000 watt inverter generator then self installed a disconnect on his panel and labeled all the "essential" breakers in the box and installed a soft start oh his central AC along with installing a smaller portable AC in his room. Also switched to 5g internet service as the cable moden went down. I figured thar would guarantee he would never lose line power again but sure enough a month ago it went down for a few more days and everything worked as planned.

Sounds like a good plan.
I wouldn't switch to slower and more expensive 5G internet because a. I lost cell coverage when the ice storm took out power all around, and b. if I have cell coverage, I can set my phone as a hotspot.
True internet resiliency is StarLink. Plus, it's portable.

From mid-2008 or early-2009, until mid-2011, I had 3G internet, and it served me just right. And it was much more practical in 2010 when I spent one year living in Pelotas. Had there been still some mobile internet plans with either unlimited data traffic or a reasonable speed reduction instead of some abusive ones which seem to be a way to persuade users to buy additional data packs to keep using internet at a minimally acceptable speed, I guess I would have never switched to a land line.

I recently switched from Spectrum cable internet that ran at about 80-100mbs and cost $75/mo to Verizon 5g that costs $50/mo and also runs 80-90. They sent me a free 1tb Xbox series X as well. During that windstorm Spectrum was down for 2 days but verizon never went out. We also moved apartments with Verizon and it required nothing but plugging in at the new place. When I canceled Spectrum they tried to make it about impossible which also pisses me off. Verizon is just a click on an app to cancel.

Switching to anything is ALWAYS cheaper... until the next switch.

That's why I would eventually consider switching from cable internet to 5G again if it had a reasonable cost. And since some carriers already provide such service for rural clients, along the usage of cellphone tech as it's easier than providing a landline at some locations, it does surprise me the same system is not so common for urban clients.

1) The concept is meaningless unless Govt. 'revenue' is included in the conversation, exactly as Biden/ Harris have mentioned.
2) Any money 'spent' by the Govt. will generate State Sales Tax revenue, and Federal Income Tax revenue, for those who first receive the funds, at a minimum.
3) For 'general inflation', you'll have to take that up with The Masonic Lodge, and member, Benjamin Franklin, who introduced the concept of FIAT currency to the fledgling United States of America as a matter of policy.

According to this linkedin article, www.linkedin.com: What 8 Centuries of Inflation Data Teaches Us there exists the Kondratiev Wave:
I'd point to 1913-14's Federal Reserve Act, but it's a global phenomenon. Can you see a 'hockey stick'?

How does it compare to the cost of a commodity? In other words, has the price of an ounce of gold followed this hockey stick? $2500/oz. closing price the last while, but has that bought less wheat per ounce than it used to? I think that chart is tracking something not tied to something physical or an obscure reference, just to make a point.
