is anyone driving through WV on their way to the meet? I am tempted to try driving my basically untested metro. I just picked up some new rear wheel bearings and as soon as I find some new front calipers I think the car hopefully would have no problems making the trip. I would like to have someone nearby though in case it does have some problems. I just got my garage cleaned out enough today from doing the house remodeling that it can actually get out of the garage it has been trapped in for the last 3 weeks so I am going to try and get some miles on it to see how it does. I should be able to fix the exhaust and align it this weekend so with the new bearings and calipers it should be all set and ready to drive.

I would love to see the XFi-Vert there CoyoteX. I am pretty confident the car will make it for the meet without any problems. Hell, I drove mine on 2 cylinders for about 2000 miles when I first bought it. After this weekend's repairs maybe go on an hour long ride and see how it goes.

O.k. if we're still looking for a name... how about Modderfest?

Hmmm... not sure that's descriptive enough.

I thought "GeoPalooza" was a perfect name...funny too. That's what I've been calling it when I tell family and friends that I intend to attend...People at work are intrigued, and ask me about it jokingly all the time. They're just jealous that I get triple the miles that they do per gallon. I'd like to see annual t-shirts..."Johnny Mullet's 28th annual GeoPalooza"...although, Johnny might not have any hair by then!

By then, my "Mullet" would become a "Skullet"

GeoPalooza is a really funny name and I have used the term at work also, but that's really not a fair name for all the other guys with other rides.

I don't think we actually need an "Official Name" for our first meet, but if it's a success and we do it again next year, then I guess it will have to have some sort of name?

"Great Lakes Ecomodder Meet"

Anyway, I got to thinking about this "EcoRun". Did you know Ashtabula County has more covered bridges than any place in the USA? We could do a "Covered Bridge Tour" and stop at 4 or 5 of them to take pictures and stuff and work our way back to the meet area. A few of them are on dirt roads and I try to avoid dirt roads when possible, but there are some nice ones on paved roads also.

What do you think of this idea instead of just going to the lake and back? Maybe even include Lake Erie as one of the stops?

Me thinks a convoy of Geo's and the like would be site to behold. We could line up according to make and model, and then take over the countryside...with Johnny Mullet as our fearless leader!

Maybe we could get a small raffle going...? I can hear the sales pitch now, "Buy one ten dollar raffle ticket and you could score a fresh, rebuilt cylinder head for your ___, courtesy of ___." ...just a thought...

A 1995-1997 front bumper skin! Muhahahahaha!
XFI cam, yeah, like there is one of those lying around

I got like 50 brochures printed up for the meet in case anyone asks questions. I have to still contact Erie and Youngstown news stations and see if anything happens there. This would be ideal for a news story to have all these modified cars and fuel saving people all in one place.
