This rear window really grabbed my imagination today for some unknown reason.
It's an oddity more than aerodynamic, and I like it.

A split-window version of the modern mid-engine sports car.
An analog to the ducktails they put on modern CUVs.

I think they got lucky with that window, and reduced overall turbulence past the point of separation. Depending on the front end features, it may have been a moot point.

I've seen that car in person and found it more striking than photos may convey.

I'm sure the reasons for its failure were the higher complexity of the water-cooled engine and being a 3-seater instead of a 4-seater.

I'm sure those are not the whole story. It was a tumultuous time for dozens of small manufacturers. This trike was also very wide to match the stability of a four wheeler, so frontal area stole some of the benefit of the narrow tail.
