justacarguy.blogspot.com: Ran’s Auto Work's custom model A at Southern Speedway in 1938, tow car for his midget racer

1928 Ford with Willys fenders.

justacarguy.blogspot.com: possibly the 1st hot rod belly tank in Italy or Corsica in WW2, a year or two before Bill Burke's on the So Cal dry lakes.

Not as old as the American Pickers Indian.

It's amazing how that Art Déco body gave a much more sophisticated look to the '28 Ford.

It has freebeard requirements: drop tank, sharkmouth, looks aircooled engine in back, at least the cooling slats, or is that tire splash?

Mud splash, but I wonder why it's there at all. Or rust?
I don't see anything involving an engine. Or a steering wheel for that matter.

Not aero-treatments, just fancy mud flaps.

Here's What Inspired The Threatening Front Splash Guards On The Awesome New Singer ACS
https://jalopnik.com/heres-what-insp...rds-1846034162
Quote:
“Essentially, when a car enters water at speed, the water gets pushed forwards and up and then tends to wash back over the front of the car and up over the windshield. The guards are designed to stop this by pushing the water back down and to the side of the car (where half-height doors help to prevent water entering the cabin).”

If it were a flushometer-valve toilet and not a tank toilet it might have made a different thread.
