"All vehicles must have bumpers." Nothing said about them being the first things that would get hit. In Texas, windshield wipers are mandatory, but a windshield is not.

I get the bumpers,you can see the shadow on the ground.

But what is it bumpering? It looks like a surfboard slung unde the axle. Or maybe an elaborate frame crossmember.

Is it a Pinto-style gas tank?

I agree, it definitely hinders access to the rear hatch.

But know nothing of this car, only found the picture.

Blender scene with HDRI lighting and Alpha channel, model superimposed in the Compositor. Photoshop not fit for purpose.

Compare the shadow of the vehicle and the stadium. It doesn't fit the cobble stones.

....seen a few pixels in my time.
