The pod would have to replace the missing hatch structurally. There appears to be daylight between it and the roof forward of the hatch. And possibly four legs at the A- and B-pillars.
It needs a sunroof opening with an inflated gasket, and a clamshell boat tail to rob back some aero advantage — and make a porch.

The side car is more aerodynamic than a normal side car. But yeah its not "aero".....

Oh this is fun... I've got a few.
This thing.
The guy who is overly fond of Star Trek
And my favorite... Not only is it brick shaped, but it's also convertible and has a huge hole in the front. At least it has the wheels partially covered.

These were and still are quite popular, legs can be fitted to permit removal, however many would use a small crane to make it easier. Some who had a little extra cash would have a dedicated car and leave it fitted.
Many of these when stationary have a tent that attatches to the back to make the living space bigger and as the Saab had a good tow weight people would often drag a caravan around.
Here is a video of some French people coming to Sweden to buy one, they start fitting it at around 1 minute.
