RE-92's are amazing! (Bridgestone Potenza RE-92 LRR tires on Honda Insight)
I just wanted to share how glad I am that I could put my summer tires (Potenza RE-92) back on, and what a huge difference they make.
I installed them last night. I've been overshooting all the stop signs, accelerating in lean burn, coasting huge distances, and grinning a lot more.

The RE92 I see on tyre sites, is labeled as a high performance tyre.
Does that mean there are different RE92s - one the sportstyre, the other an OEM LRR tyre for Honda ?

Euromodder: from my reading, the 165/65r14 RE92 on the Insight is a different tire (in terms of rolling resistance) than the RE92 sizes made for other cars. |

Yes, the OE Insight tire is a discontinuity in the RE92 lineup. Sorry to say, it's no longer available in Europe.
My winter tires are still the "meh" Blizzak MZ-02's that came with the car. And yes, I wish they were Nokian LRR winter tires, but my Blizzaks wear really slowly, especially when I only used them 3 months this year.

When I replaced the RE92s (with new RE 92s) on my Insight the mileage did not change.

Bridgestone has a new tire series out they make their highest claims about (no data though): Product Details: Ecopia EP422
A tire place told me about Kumho Ecowing tires too. Check those out. Good luck... Report your experience? |

Michelin x ice winter tire is great. Excellent traction and I got over 50 mpg all summer with them.
