Just got a letter from NW Natural gas.

The corrupt, worthless, mindless crooks disguised as politicians in Washington state have imposed a 42% tax on natural gas (and all energy) so that we can make absolutely no difference whatsoever about climate change.

I don't know what kind of morons are putting these crooks in office. Bunch of self-loathing, anti-humanists whose only joy is in seeing the suffering of others.

We should see one of the largest silicon wafer plants in the US move to China now, considering they are the largest single consumer of gas, electricity, water, and other resources necessary to make wafers.

Should we hand the keys to the US over to the Chinese now and just get it over with? Might get a head start by learning Mandarin.

Quote:
The Climate Commitment Act (CCA) caps and reduces greenhouse gas emissions from Washington’s largest emitting sources and industries, allowing businesses to find the most efficient path to lower carbon emissions. This powerful program works alongside other critical climate policies to help Washington achieve its commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 95% by 2050.
Most efficient, like leaving. Seattle doesn't even have the "good weather" excuse people make to stay in California.

I'll BRB, gotta announce an increase in rent for my low-income tenants.

' imposed tax'

Probably born from the same litter Texas tapped to create the 296% tax on public EV chargers ( $ 1.146 / gallon-e ).

Jeez dude, get a grip. Firstly, the neighbor across the street born in Hong Kong says mandarin isn't the major dialect. He says there is like 9 different ones across the country AND it's hard to talk to someone from next provence over.

Second: show me where the right to cheap fuel is ensconced in the Constitution. I'll wait.
To me this feels much like the late $1970$ all over again. Lived through that era no hoo-hoo. Too old this time to place any longevity bets....

Every dam day it's who's at war with who, what pieces of infrastructure got destroyed, what pipeline is damaged, what form of energy is constrained today.

Clearly I'm being hyperbolic. That said, if the Gulag is still quite a ways off, that's not an excuse to keep taking steps in that direction.

Show me where I mentioned The Constitution with regard to commodity pricing.

I stated that ideologically possessed fools and profoundly corrupt politicians increase the burden of energy on her people to make no change in CO2 consumption whatsoever. Anyone deciding to burden others as some sort of offering to Gaia shouldn't have even the authority to cook the fries at McDonalds, because they have demonstrated either an extreme lack of mental function, or the desire to harm people.

100% of the natural gas that is produced will be consumed or flared. Making it 42% more expensive changes none of that.

Nobody will argue those points because it's clearly indefensible, so they will throw pretend tantrums, name call, change the subject... the usual set of childlike behaviors.

The Solzhenitzyn quote comports with Jordan Peterson.
