Not so fast.
The 2 massive wind farms that were going to be built off the Jeezy shore have had the plug pulled by the wind company.

I really wanted millions of east coast A holes to have the same view as me.

As good a thread as any:

electrek.co/2022/04/27/zipcharge-unveils-the-gohub-a-cheaper-more-modular-take-on-portable-ev-charging/
Quote:
ZipCharge’s portable EV charging network includes the Go, a rolling power bank that was unveiled at COP26 in November of 2021. The ZipCharge Go is currently for sale to own, but with its latest offering, the company looks to introduce Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) by renting Go chargers from its new modular GoHubs.

Similar to the Ecoflow Delta Pro on it's own, but I like the construction of the kiosk. If they don't sell in onsey-twoseys, get some NGO to fund kiosks all over town, like those rental bikes no-one uses.

Imho, poorly executed. What stops miscreants from stealing battery pack? You also have to provide power to it from the grid because a couple hundred watts solar on top ain't gonna recharge stuff all that fast.

The kiosk is rather handsome.

I have, for some time, believed in hot, abiotic oil as an alternative to dinosaur juice as an explanation of the source of petroleum. Now, that same mechanism is suggested for terrestrial stores of Hydrogen, as found in Mali and France.

The infographic at 4:30 shows that mechanism, and proposals to supercharge the process.

Remember there is a difference between renewable and zero carbon. Conservation reduces waste heat as well as costs. Batteries work best in mild climates and we will likely see big improvements in both chemistry and packaging in next 15 years.

All true. What's your point?

What else is renewable? Helium.

"A dream. It's perfect": Helium discovery in northern Minnesota may be biggest ever in North America
CBS News on MSN.com | 4 days ago
For a century, the U.S. Government-owned the largest helium reserve in the country, but the biggest exporters now are in Russia, Qatar and Tanzania. With this new discovery, Minnesota could be joining that list.
https://www.msn.com: Helium discovery in northern Minnesota may be biggest ever in North America
Quote:
MINNEAPOLIS — Scientists from around the world converged on Babbitt in St. Louis County to dig more than a half mile underground, and have confirmed a major helium discovery in northern Minnesota. Experts think this could be the biggest such discovery in North America.
....
If you think this is all about balloons and blimps, the reality may deflate your expectations. Party balloons make up just 3% of the billion-dollar helium market worldwide. The other uses include rockets, aerospace, semiconductors, cryogenics, welding and MRI machines.

Helium is an inert gas. The point is to understand the cause and effect relationships rather than the noise of media factoids. What gets measured gets improved.

Helium is a lifting gas.

How do you parse 'difference between renewable and zero carbon'? They're both adjectives.

Here's one you've never heard of, National Union Electric Company who owned the Henney Motor Company, and the Exide Battery Corporation, bought Renaults, and made them electric in 1960!

The *1960 model* had a little more oomph, said Kemp. It had 12 six-volt batteries, a top speed of *60 mph*, and a range of *60 miles*.

The sticker price was $3,500
