just a question

if I can upload a pic from my computer to the garage, why can't I upload the same pic directly to a thread?
Am I doing something wrong or is it some server issue that needs more power?
Sorry if I am just

The forum and the garage have different max file sizes. Maximum file-size for a jpeg on the forum is 1mb.

I guess i didn't comunicate well (and its not a url issue)

I obviously wasn't specific enough.
In the garage (smaller file size) I can upload a file directly from my computer.(or a website)
In a thread (which allows a larger file size) I can only upload from a website.
If I have a file in the garage (a website)
Why can't I put it in a thread?
OR
Why can't I upload to a thread from my computer (provided the file is small enough)

Is it like trying to pull a rabbit out of my hat,
but I need a different hat?

Be gentle, I'm not as computer literate as most of you guys.

There is a way to do it as an attachment (but folks have to be logged in to see the pics). Next time you write or respond to a post, scroll down and hit "manage attachments" and upload your images, then right click on the attachment and say properties and cut and paste the URL and use that for an image link.

i.e: (stare at the center)

It is really just an attachment where you reuse the attachment url for the IMG tags... But if you log out of the forum, you will not see the image (have to be logged in to see attachments)

I said this before....................

Use FireFox browser and get the "AdBlockPlus" add on and never see another ad again.
Internet Explorer is just garbage and uses ActiveX controls that can take over your computer.

This has happened to me the past two days I logged in. It happened after clicking on recent posts. The redirect makes me leave the site and a pop up shows up with some Windows virus cleaner. I may have clicked a link but I don't think that I did, it seemed to be automatic.

There is definitely some bad software coming from the ecomodder.com website, I am getting a popup from a virus detection website that closes down my browser. The pop up happens as soon as I enter ecomodder.com from Recent Posts.
