The button at the top, by "Home", "EM Blog", etc. that used to say "Forums" is missing when you're in the forums. Just wondering if that was intentional or not, I see you added another button so I'm guessing your sacked the forum button for it.

Did you mean to remove it or is that a bug?

It was removed to make space - plus it was redundant. You can get to the forum home (when you're in the forum) by clicking "EcoModder.com" in the forum "breadcrumbs" box, beside the search box.

That is true, but Ecomodder.com is not the same as Ecomodder.com/forum so it is a bit misleading (it has slowed me down a bit).

Also, should there be ads on the blogs for contributors?

dcb: I agree, and have clarified the breadcrumb root, from "EcoModder.com" to "EcoModder Forum".

I'm not sure whether we can easily turn off ads for contributors in the blog; it's separate from the forum so login/user information isn't shared between them. Ben?

Special characters in fuel log notes:

When I type a special character (ampersand) into the notes of my fuel log the resulting data shows the html code for the special character, not the special character.

Thanks, I had actually noticed this but it never made it onto the "to do" list. Will fix later today.

search broken maybe?

"The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search: microSecondsPerGallon"

too long? I cant search for antidisestablismentarinism? I get in trouble when I call all my variables X & Y

FYI, I was searching from this screen:
http://ecomodder.com/forum/search.php?f=26

Vbulletin has odd search requirements, but it's to keep the server from dying trying to go through the database, from what I understand.

Try google?

I can understand too short, but I don't quite get how too long is much of an issue. And of course google doesn't discriminate between sub forums.

Edit: and there are long delays in new posts getting into the google index too.

I know I'm a PITA, but I have to move my pictures to a new site (bandwidth exceeded) and want to locate and update all my previous posts with links and images, etc.

I think I can locate the posts with google, but I cannot seem to edit all the posts, i.e.:
http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...6086#post16086 does not have an edit button on it and I cannot update the picture or link references so they will break next month when the old account expires.
