I couldn't resist. I know you meant 'thou'.

Episode 2758?t=1178
The Katoonist used the word 'brainwash' and I thought what an odd neologism; then I remembered it dates to the 1950 Korean 'police action'.
ibid?t=1488
If the 'third term' troll moves the needle realpolitikally, that is exactly what happened in 2017 with the Q corpus. Maybe Steve Bannon was Q the whole time?

Recent episodes have revolved around the reality that making large cuts, by definition, require a chainsaw and not a scalpel.
As Musk says, you find out what is essential to a system by eliminating so much that you have to add at least 5% back in the next iteration. Continual elimination is part of a good design philosophy that achieves increasingly better results.
That philosophy can apply to everything. I've used it on our grocery bill. My wife declared one expensive grocery item as superior, and therefore necessary. I declared that she might be right, but we wouldn't know until a blind taste test was performed. We now purchase the more affordable option, because it proved superior in testing.
Our human nature places outsized importance on avoiding the possible loss of a good thing that we overlook the fact that we can add back the things proven to be valuable.

No, for me personally at that moment in time. Raz0rfist and Sargon of Akkad back-to-back. I've moved on, of course. Now it's possible that there will be a Deputy Director of the ATF, and it might be Brandon Herrera. With Bongino at the FBI anything is possible.
You'd think with his persuasion and hypnosis skills, Scott Adams could talk himself into better health.
I guess; once you go vax, you never go back.

I thought Sargon was banned from Youtube, or was I misremembering?
...listening to the green chicken at the moment. Probably won't get anything new since I've listened to green chicken content recently, and I'm paying attention to work.
The Green Chicken helpfully provides a list of podcast he appears on, along with a descriptive title.

I haven't given any intentional effort into learning who the political players are, so I've got little informed opinion about them. It is terrifyingly comical to observe that politics has become so team-color based, that when one team announces they are opposed to puppy torture, it forces the other team to extol the virtues of puppy torture.

Maybe the latter:

For me it's entertainment. I don't have any of the streaming services. [At this time in this location] DDG News returns three stories, scan the headlines: DDG?q=brandon+herrera+atf&ia=news

Terrifyingly comical entertainment? Funny how the projection always goes one way.

Reminds me of Dr. Strangelove, except this is real life. When the bomb is released, you just have to stop worrying and begin enjoying the ride.

It's useful for adding a layer of ambiguity, and emphasizes the fact that both teams play the same game (the game of growing federal authority and spending).
Whenever a team gets a longer run and builds confidence, that's when increasing absurdity is introduced.
I vaguely recall Intelligent Design being proposed as a mandatory science subject, or Noah's Ark in history. Not as drastic as revoking women their own restrooms and sports leagues, but there is potential for lunacy to pop up anywhere.
None of that is to be dismissive of positive accomplishments by a team color, only that fixing a few pinhole leaks on the Titanic doesn't sustain my optimism.

This one has evolved since I last saw it, but it all started with the Babylon Bee.
In other news, that gust of wind from the WSW at 1PM lifted the roof right off my shed. I threw a 30ft hawser over it to hold it down.

I would think the start is earlier, perhaps largely motivated by a social contagion that infected one of his children. The Bee might have been the straw.
Gusts up to 55 MPH here, and lightning as close as a mile away. Haven't lost power yet. The rain has more lateral speed than vertical.

If I ruled the World it would be Synergetics [science]. With maybe a touch of Tartaria [history].

I remember the poor kid, but not the timing. One might trace the 'social contagion' back to the Stonewall Riots, then Life Magazine's Sexual Revolution, then the Kinsey Report, then the books from the Weimar Republic that got burnt....
Next sunny day I fire up the Superbeetle. Maybe that will generate some actual EcoModder content.
