The problem is that the USA is the 2nd largest market for the Mirage and it will need changes to continue to sell in the USA. It will need a new engine to meet upcoming emission standards and it will need a big upgrade to the automatic emergency braking system.
If you combine all the European countries the EU is the second highest market but the Mirage is likely dead there too. Mitsubishi would need to make it a hybrid to have any hope of avoiding fuel economy fines in both the USA and EU.
Even then total global Mirage sales are only 75,000 per year - how much money do you spend updating a model this that poor of sales?

In the USA it is about a 40/60 split between the Bronco Sport and the Maverick.
In Brazil you did get the Bronco Sport a year earlier than the Maverick so that might explain seeing a few more Broncos. Since the Maverick has been offered it has outsold the Sport. Total sales in Brazil: Maverick 4,018 / Bronco Sport: 4,238.
