I'm planning to arrive Saturday AM (and will be happy for couch/floor space on Saturday evening if there's any more room at the inn).

I'm thinking I'll meet you guys at the chocolate cherry condo depending on what time you're planning to leave there and head over to the rally start. Any ideas on that?

Always some last minute duct-taping to be done bright & early! That's par for the course at these types of events.

Sounds good to me Darin, but of course I defer to Jeff for what time we are leaving to go to Ultramar.

Finished touching up and buffing out the car today.

Yeah, I know no one will be impressed with an old bone stock Metro, but I'm really proud of what I made out of a $200 rust bucket. It's still riding on the Michelin X-Ice winter tires that came with it and I didn't even have time to check the toe in.

I'd like to thank Jeff for planning this event again this year, because it is the sole reason I bought this car. It has provided me with the motivation to save this car from the crusher.

For me this weekend will be all about camaraderie and the fun of participation. I plan to have this car a lot better prepped for competition at the Tri State Fuel Economy Run [the date hasn't been announced yet] later this summer.

Mike

Have a safe trip!

Mike: looks great.

Agreed on early thanks for the event (for the same reasons: prompted me to get off my butt and get a few more things done on the to-do list).

Two interesting developments :

1) There's now a 2012 Toyota Prius C signed up
2) The Tesla could come tomorrow morning but won't have enough time to charge given that the Hydro Quebec charging stations are only 30A. I'm looking for solutions...

Got to Jeffs AOK. Parking in Montreal is interesting!

Hurry up Mike. The Slivovitz is running out!

FrankenJetta made good time and mileage, around 47ish at 65mph. Will know for sure tomorrow. Sure is flat around here.

You should phone a couple of nissan and gm dealers to ask them if they have any fast chargers available on their lot.
