Good job! Best of luck reaching, and hopefully exceeding your goal.

My original goal with my Mustang was 28 MPG. Changing my morning commute to to a 1.6 mile shorter route that eliminated 6 miles of 75 mph uphill and generally into the wind freeway driving got me over 28, and into the 29's.

Later eliminating that same stretch of freeway (even though downhill and generally with the wind) from my commute home got me into the 30's and 31's.

Eliminating all freeway miles from my morning commute shortened it by another 2 miles and still gave me the same MPG.

I think he's right - I re-added the s13, and it shows up on my screen. The s14 doesn't have a fuel log entry yet. Haven't had to fill it in awhile, since I don't drive it much. It'll fulfill the sports car side of the requirement, but I'm pretty sure it won't be doing much for the overall mpg or epa rating score.....

sports car ?

i joined your team

i have some goofy things going .. i modified my induction , getting induction air off the high pressure area on the chin fin , call it RACI[ ram air cold induction] or CARI [cold air ram induction]

i have a stove on the exhaust manifold and looking for a proper flapper valve . then i could test WAI real good [ id call it carburetor heat]

since i took that pic i put full moon hubcaps on.

been mulling around on something they call *acoustic supercharging*

Intake Manifold Tech: Runner Size Calculations - Team Integra Forums - Team Integra
as discussed by David Vizard [ quite the engine man ]
on his advice chopped on my manifolds and have a big SU carb [HIF44] to a log [heimholtz resonator] . intake and a 3 to 1 exhaust header
added instruments vacuum gage and EGT [ exhaust gas temp] ..
added a top injector

running MMO [ Mystery Marvel oil ] in it for baseline .. very soon im agonna see if i put a mix of Methanol /castor oil and nitromethane [TOP FUEL]in there it will *improve*FE..

i tried it out a little and that nitrometheane and castor in there sure does make it smell like a *funny car*

hehe

Has anyone else noticed our new member? A gentleman/lady in a Honda Fit. I don't know how I feel about that.

Maybe he has multiple cars in the garage and clicked on the wrong one?
Where I to click the "join" button without scrolling down first, I'd be joining with my Mazda instead of the Datsun.

Hmm. It seemedlike that was their only vehicle. It's no big deal, it might be a joke, or they just want to show us why we should switch lol

I mean, Nissan makes the Juke R, maybe they have a Honda Fit SX

Maybe they plan to lower it a little, get some nice r-compounds, and do some aggressive cornering?
They do handle decently well. I have a friend with one, and while it's certainly not a powerful machine, it seems decent in terms of handling. If it were all about power, then giant trucks would be the "sportiest" sports cars out there.

Weighing in at ~2350 helps, too (per wikipedia, that's as far as i'm willing to go).

Oh, and I finally filled up my S14, so it's showing here now too.

I don't think of a fit as a sports car, same with an Intrepid, but I did say this earlier. His/her % over Epa is almost to Mustang Daves.

Personally the better Fit would be on the honda team, but he is offsetting the S14 on the team.

Most sport cars come designated as such from the factory, with modification to equal a designated sports cars performance I would consider that a Sports car.
That being said there are some under powered sports cars, maybe it is all in how you perceive the car..
