I would love to see this!

Mustang, five years old, in better condition
-5 speed MANUAL
-210 hp
-3461 lbs

Intrepid, 12 years old, chrysler
-4 speed automatic
-225
-3489

Although the Intrepid has a lower cd by quite a bit, the difference in age, and the difference in drivetrain seems like it would go to the Stang. The automatic on the track or the strip, front tires trying to power and steer, seems like it wouldn't make it. Drag strip it maybe could do okay, but with the power shifting back and trapped by auto and seven extra aging years, I would put my 1 dollar wager on the Mustang.

As for fuel consumption/displacement; SHOW ME!
I don't race most of the time, I drive for fuel economy most of the time, and a 3.2 liter V6 in a lighter car should get better fuel economy than a 4 liter V6 ALL the time.
And in "% over EPA", SHOW ME!

i commend you for such great numbers, but i can promise my ancient and extremely limited 4 speed can't match the efficiency of a 5 speed manual. yes, i am saying that i believe the majority of your mpg figures are due to your transmission.

Your Intrepid is only 7 years older than my "pony". AND it's OBDII compliant. It's not just the equipment. It's how you use it. Most of the people I know or have met who own '05-'10 V6 Mustangs (even those with manuals) average around 26 MPG.
I must be doing something wrong.

On edit, I noticed that your Intrepid has the exact same EPA numbers as my Mustang.
Don't blame your equipment.

I'll crawl back under my rock...

Nobody expects good mileage from a sports car. So, let's show em what's up. Also, I'm bringing the team average down by joining with both my cars - Although if I logged some nice highway miles, I could do the EPA quite a disservice. Last hwy run with the power build got me over 31mpg - and that's with a fully built turbo setup, and injectors roughly 3x the size of stock.
When looking @ the team I don't see your cars, can you check it out?
We need a few more on the team!

He has no fuel log entries for his car on the Sports Car team. I presume that's why it doesn't show.

I agree, we need more team members. You should invite BenjaminT with his 2007 Mustang GT 4.6 liter V-8 getting over 27 MPG and 52% over EPA to join the team.

I've driven the 250 HP 3.5L SXT.

Again, it is no more "sports car" than a Camry V6. Or Accord V6. Or Maxima V6. Or Altima V6.

They are all family sedans with power, not sports cars. Although at least the last 3 I listed were available with manuals.
