Toyota Noah... LOL. It does resemble an ark.
I wouldn't mind picking up a used Pacifica plug-in sometime in the future. I'll wait until I have at least 2 kids to justify it though.

Even without kids, I'd have a good excuse to buy a minivan: being able to sleep comfortably inside it once in a while. But now I'd much rather build a small tricycle with a motorcycle engine, aiming a much lower TCO. |

That's not what I actually meant, eventually it would not even feature a fully-enclosed cabin. I'd be most likely to convert a Honda CG 160 into a trike, with the most challenging part being the fitment of seating for 2 passengers in a way that would not harm too much the load capacity when I would not be carrying anyone else.
But anyway, recently I had a talk with a friend who moved to Portugal and we started ranting about how to make a Piaggio Ape 50 road-capable and adapting a pair of rear-facing jump-seats behind its cabin (with a canvas enclosure for weather protection) |

The Pacifica has several seating arrangements to choose from, including a bench seat. The plug-in version I think can only fold down the rear seats.
