IT student, I've been building computers since the late 90's, I have also been working on my own vehicles since I learned to drive. Ecco Modding for me so far has just been matience and replacing with better than factory parts.

Surveyor mostly construction layout. Took automotive in school then went to universal technical institute. Played arround at drag stip for several years. But had to give it up when had my first tricycle motor(kid). Never thought I would own a 4 banger much less be interested as I am now in getting better mpg.

I'm an Electrician, mostly construction, but I'm a high-ender that does most everything. (30 years as a professional, even more as a hobbyist) I usually have little use for EE's but you sound like you are a hands-on type, which I can relate to!

Hoping you are adept at programming the Arduino, because I have a major project that I need a collaborator on. It would basically be akin to an on-board EV Charger, no plug-in required

Nothing wrong with being "self-taught" because experience often trumps knowledge in the world of creative-solutions.
