My sister had some chickens in Queen Creek. Now she has more in Gilbert. She asked me to stay the night and babysit this morning. As I was trying to get the kids ready she sent me a wall of text with instructions on keeping her chickens alive.
She bought a mister a month or two ago, but it hardly does anything. If it were old enough for sediments to block the nozzle I would understand that. Should we try drilling out the opening with the smallest bit we can find?
Isn't our weather lovely?!

You speak in riddles... I hope ! ![Big Grin](/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I don't want to have sediments block my nozzle, mister! With all those chicks around?
Or something like that. ![Wink](/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Time for bed over here
I'd try some citrus or vinegar acid added to the water in the mister before taking out the drill. Drilling a nozzle never seems to yield success.
If it is chalk buildup a mild acid flushing should cure it.

She said the mister is brand new, so there shouldn't be any sediments.
One of my first roommates bought a tiny shower head from the hardware store, said you needed to jump around to get wet, drilled it out, and then it left welts!

Hi All, Mechanical Engineer from Melbourne, Australia. I find it funny when people think all my car/mechanical knowledge is from going to University. If it wasn't for me fixing my own junk heaps and RC cars etc as a kid I would not know much at all! I have a lot of respect for people who have a skilled trade background and believe we would produce far better engineers (can only speak for Australian Universities) if everyone at uni had to do a much larger portion of practical work (believe it or not I knew a guy at uni who did not even know why cars needed differentials, this was a MECHANICAL Engineering course!).
Other than that I'm a massive RC nerd (planes, Cars, FPV), Cyclist, and have an endless list of micro hobbies.
Anyways, that's my background!

Obligatory introduction.
Just bought a 2010 VW Polo 1.6 TDI
Loving the diesel life and looking forward to pushing the range limits.
(and learning MPG because I think in L/km)

Hiya. I've been on the site for a year, since my 2004 Honda CRV died and I replaced it with a 2012 Fit. Both 5speeds. Now that its been a year, I've been real happy with the Fit - larger than it seems on the inside, and regularly turns 32-32mpg on midGrade gas ...
My wife drives our 2000 Civic SI - which replaced a 1990 SI ...
The 2000 only has around 107k miles - it was stolen & stripped at 70k in 2006 when it was my daily-driver. Our insurance company had it rebuilt by the dealer (seats, dashboard, body panels, wheels & tires - they left the engine/trans! After it was rebuilt, I didn't want to drive it back to work where it was stolen, so I gave it to my wife to drive (she loves it!), and and is still a hoot to drive. I do web design, she is an office manager and only drives a mile or so to work!

I've been a Computer Network and Telephony Engineer and Software Developer since 1979 and still love it. However I purchased a 1981 Chevy El Camino Conquista and am preparing to convert it over to electric. After studying most if not all info that I could find about traveling distances I was pretty disappointed. So after studying what it takes to charge any of the EV's I decided to go on a quest to resolve the constant power requirements making travel distances much greater than the current possibilities. I believe that I've done so. My requirements are to travel more than 200 miles per trip with myself, my wife, and her electric wheelchair loaded in the back, and having a wheelchair crane installed to be able to load/unload the wheelchair into the vehicle.

Mechanic and auto body tradesman. Tinker at heart need my vehicles to do better than the generalized engineering that has been done to them. I am a engineer at heart and like to do better than the "other guy".
