Where's Julian?
I don't stay up on the day to day soap opera dramas, and don't care to, so in a nutshell, where is Julian?
Things did seem to be getting off the rails lately, and getting personal, I get that, but passion in check, is often an asset, until it isn't.
I'm a believer in "All opinions matter, just some more then others".

It shows he was on June 30th. Probably just busy. The way he talks make it sound like he is on multiple forums dealing with aero and fuel economy. Plus his youtube channel.

Julian really adds a lot to discussions regarding what works and what doesn't.
He proves his points via actual testing and actual measurements on actual cars.
Otherwise, there's only theory and armchair speculation to go on. I'm afraid he's got little patience for that.

OK then, I'll move on.
But one remark gets my attention:

Seldom do people disagree on actual test results, the devil is in what exactly those test results reveal, and that is often the subject of much contention. Then we add confirmation bias, which is part of human nature, and things get complicated. I like to decide for myself the veracity of what I am told the results reveal.
Don't misunderstand my point here, any tests properly implemented, organized, and shared, are hugely valuable and welcomed.

Apart from occasionally checking PMs, I have decided to no longer contribute to the forum.

I really enjoy reading your posts. Don't forget most members here don't even have an account. And I'm sure most of them will be sad to see you go.

Well, can't say I didn't see this coming.
Sometimes just taking a break is best for everyone.
If ever you decide to return, the community here will be better for it.
Not sure if many will admit that.
Everybody is important here, and nobody is above scrutiny.

Yep, I agree.
The thing about most of Julian's testing results is that he gets the objective empirical data, ie the numbers from the gauges, that show what's going on, and he tells others how to replicate his tests so they can test for themselves exactly what he's done; something like scientific peer review that we all can do if we make the effort.
As an example, his Throttle Stop idea is golden. I mean, what could be more simple than to use it to objectively show the effects of windows up / windows down on a car's aerodynamics? It's far superior to the coast-down method; it instantly shows the effects at constantly maintained speeds that we travel at rather than constantly decaying speeds that is less applicable to everyday use. And it can be accomplished repeatedly and constantly within a matter of a few seconds without trying to measure the distance traveled etc. Brilliant.

JulianEdgar — I wondered if you could keep up that pace. If you have another stroke of genius, please do a hit-and-run post to drop some hint. TIA
Thank you for your good work.

I have been away from the forum for a while working on other projects, but it seems I have missed a gem of a contributor. I see above someone had said he may have a YT channel? If it isn't against the rules can someone post a link or at least give me the name of the channel? I would love to see this type of testing.
Like many others have said JulianEdgar, if you decide to come back the site will be better for it.
Thank you for all you have posted. I'm going to start working my way through it.
