Windshield should be more inclined than the hood?

By more inclined I mean that the windshield has lesser angle to the vertical than the hood.

Thus you have to either make the windshield more inclined and/or make the hood less inclined i.e. less horizontal?

Aero is not the only constraint or concern when designing a car.

If you make a steeply-raked windshield, you have a whole lot of glass. It will give more distortion when you look through it, and it will allow more heat into the car from the sun. It will also be heavier, and will likely be harder to keep clean (requiring larger wipers and washer systems) and so on.

As to your question, I'm not sure the actual angle of the windshield to the front lid is that critical for aero. If the angle isn't too great, it probably doesn't make a huge difference.

Aerodynamically it will bring it closer to the ideal profile, so yes. As Dave says, though, you might cancel out that improvement if the large window heats your car and necessitates A/C usage.

On the ac thing, has anyone ever tried modifying an electric water pump kit to run the ac compressor? I can't help but think if everything but the alternator was running off electric motors it would boost fuel economy. Hmmmm, time to see what parts I have lying around.

By running AC off an electric compressor, you will likely hurt fuel efficiency due to losses in converting mechanical energy to electric and back to mechanical to operate the compressor. The reason why electric conversion of some accessories can save fuel is either due to offline battery charging, and not using your alternator, or in the case of electric fans and water pumps, you can run them either periodically when needed or at an optimal speed not dependent on engine rpm.

Unfortunately difficult do use that solution while driving, Sven7.

Very good............shim your hood at the hinges increasing the incline till you are satisfied.................when your point re hood incline is proven drop me a line for a permanent fix...........you will be surprised
