When you're ready to actually do something with it, that guy that does the cheap pack rebuilds is in Geneva I think. (Matt can chime in here) Remember him from last year's GGP? Otherwise you could probably just run the ima inhibit and do non-hybrid temporarily. 3cyl with lean burn still kicks ass.

If my local mechanic will certify the car without IMA working (don't know yet - he can be a stickler), I may go without it. 95% of my driving would be highway use anyway.

I've owned two subarus that come with these tires stock, and I can attest to their general crappiness when it comes to traction and wear. Mine wore out well before 25,000 miles and I drive pretty mellow.

Of course, some of the wear problems might be due to the alignment of subarus, which have a lot of toe in, I think. Someone might correct me on this, however.

@KStruve: Insight RE92's are actually a totally different tire than any other size RE92's. They're lighter, low rolling resistance, and they don't suck.

Staten Island. But DIY is the EcoModder way, and this is the sort of thing you should do yourself. Even if you don't need the extra horsepower, there's something really neat about an engine that can restart in 150ms, and an electric motor that, with MIMA_L, can be called upon to provide additional power so you can stay in lean burn.

Congratulations on the purchase! I'm sure you're going to have fun with it.

Well, not quite, but we'll give you the credit anyway.

Question, do the rims that hold the 155/80/13's fit on the Insight without contacting the brakes or having other fitment issues? ...or vice versa going the other way? I was thinking of trying to find out if I can source a Tercel rim to try it out but if a Metro rim fits, I might go that direction. I've got a few motivations I want to satisfy.

MN Driver: unfortunately not. The Suzuki bolt pattern is different from Honda's - 4x100 (Honda) vs. 4x114.3 (Suzuki/Geo etc.). Tercel bolt pattern is compatible with the Insight, however.

This has caused me a small amount of grief & frustration, as I sold a set of lightweight 13 inch Civic VX rims 5 years ago when I got into the Metroids. Moral of the story: keep everything.

Uh oh... I usually store everything at my fathers house, or the stuff that I don't care about do much, I sell it to a friend, knowing there's a great chance to get it back, should I need/want to.
