if dfco does use fuel it is very minimal compared...

DFCO does not always engine brake so this is a touchy area.
Ex. my grand am dfco in drive does not engine brake

going from 3.54 to 4.33 should help in the city
while 3.54 to say 2.73 would hurt city help highway
