Arrow Ren: My '92 Civic

After about a month of searching, and almost buying a BMW E28, I ended up with this to replace the Anal Probe.

1992 Honda Civic EG 3 door

1.6L swapped in from a '96 EK
5 speed, short shifter
Warm air intake

Pretty stock otherwise. It's got some bondo work over the fenders and a little rust, some mismatched paint. The seats are super comfy and supportive.

Came with a set of 16" alloys, an extra dash, a few extra interior trim bits, and a cat-back ricer muffler.

Needs:
Tie rod ends
Windshield
Alternator (at some point- it's squeaking)
Tires

Plans:
Lower itFirestone Winterforce winter tires
Wheel covers
Grille blocks
Air dam
Rear skirts, maybe
MPGuino
Kill switches
Hella 500 driving lights, rally style
Kammback

Pics as it sits now.

Looks like fun. And a lot cheaper to fix than the BMW!!!! If it's a d16y8 you can expect to see 40-44 right out of the box. I had a y8 in my blue sedan and I saw up to 48 with eoc and no mods. Good luck and enjoy!!

I'm in Cottage Grove.
Ha, nice. I like the shark teeth!

If you have some extra 14" wheels you'd like to part with let me know. I'm going to need some to put winter tires on.

I'll have to look at the engine code later (totally new to Hondas)- I'm expecting mid-30's MPG stock.

Oh, and I want to do a fiberglass kammback.

Is there a lip spoiler on that? My '94 Civic that I used to have didn't hang down as far blow the grill. Looks like a good buy.

Do you know where the engine code is? It should be on the front of the motor near the tranny, just left of the exhaust manifold. It will be "D16##" if the EPO was accurate on the swap.

Sweet! You might beat the probe right off the bat! So was it changed to OBD2 with the 96 motor?

More likely the new engine is running on an OBD1 ECU, but I'm curious as well.

Pretty car, I'm envious.

Nice car. If it has power steering, remove the belt. You won't miss it, and it makes a difference in FE.
