I tried covering the lower driver side and center grill and majority of the upper. The car got to around 207F in stop and go traffic and I got to worried.

July update: 68 mpg

Filled the tank a week or so...


Went 824 km = 512 miles on 28.4 L = 7.5 gal (US).

68 MPG US = 3.5 L/100 km


About half of that distance was with the coroplast skirts & clear tail light...
