04 v6 mustang Baseline* A-B-A kinda happy

So far on my 2004 Mustang V6 convertible Automatic I have:
45 PSI in all tires (recommended is 35, max is 55)
lower "Grille Block"

this is before the Grille Block and the dip job

This is after i placed foam poster board in the openings and then covered them and sealed the opening with duct tape

This is the look after I Plasti-Dipped the car

I did an A-B-A today using my dashcommand app, since my scangauge isn't here yet. I averaged 26.9 mpg, I consider that quite a feat since I start and end by going through the city, I saw glimpses of 40 MPG around 60-65 mph on level ground.

That is about 8.2 mpg better than the previous I recorded before those Mods that where actually 95% highway driving. This A-B-A was about 60% highway driving. So 44% increase on a route that involved a bit of stop and go.

What were your actual A, B, A readings?

What did the ABA test consist of? Grill block vs non grill block vs grill block?
Grill block/higher psi vs stock vs grill block/higher psi?

So im assuming A (grill block/higher psi), B (removed grill block and lowered psi), and A (installed grill block again/upped psi)?

Comparing ABA results to "previously recorded readings" kinda defeats the purpose of ABA testing because there are an infinite number of variables between the ABA tests and the "previously recorded readings."

ABA testing should show the effectiveness of the grill block mod or increasing the tire psi independently

I mis-understood what the A-B-A testing was about, which comes just from my lack of knowledge, I thought that it was about getting a round trip with specific mods to evaluate their effectiveness.

So can you better explain the A-B-A testing for future use, not for the lower grille block at least because it isn't very removable at this point.
