Theycallmebrian, Are you still running your Ninja? I checked your fuel log and haven't seen any recent tanks. I just got a 1999 Ninja 250 and have made some baseline runs ( ~68mpg ) and now have started modifying it. I started with a longer windscreen, fully faired front fender, lower seat and bungeed on tail. My next mods will be a 15T countershaft sprocket followed by smaller rear sprockets. Did you ever do any more aero mods beyound the talller windscreen?
Thanks for all your work and detailed posting, it helps all of us get better results.
all the best, L&S

Brian, I got a 104mpg tankfill today!
I've bumped up the gearing in my Ninja with a 15/41 sprocket combo and streamlined it. I was stunned to break into the 100's this quickly. There seems to be a synergy with the streamlining and aero mods that works to great effect. With my streamlining I don't have to ride in a tuck position and my freeway speeds are at 65-70 mph.
Thanks again for all the great work and documentation. Hopefully I can catch Alan Smith's 116 mpg with his Ninja 250.
