Fewer 14" tires to choose from?

So, I didn't want to start yet another tire thread...

But, I was looking up good choices for a LRR tire. I came up with an initial list of recommended tires to look at

Bridgestone B381
Bridgestone Potenza RE-92
Continental ProContact EcoPlus
Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max
Kumho ecowing All Season KH30
Kumho eco Solus HM KR22
Michelin HydroEdge with Green X
Michelin Energy Saver A/S

and then popped on over to tirerack.com and discount tire to check for availability and got a little surprise...

The only tire listed on either site for 185/70R14 as an LRR tire was the Michelin Defender (which wasn't even on my list).

What the heck? I only get one choice?

I know there are a few more if I drop down to 185/65R14, but my low hanging, stock exhaust already scrapes too often as it is.

Tirerack lists the Goodyear Integrity (2nd gen Prius OEM tire) in 185/70R14.

Its not exactly known to be a great tire grip wise though. But, its a heck of a lot cheaper ($60 vs $100) than the Defender.

Well, Wet traction is a bit of a concern for me. I'm already sliding way too much at the moment, and I don't exactly drive it like a race car.... But I imagine any new tires will be significantly better than my current, well-used tires.

However, price is also an issue. I don't want to spend too much on a car that I'm already contemplating replacing.

I'm leaning towards the Defenders but would have liked more options.

RE92s don't appear to be available. Am I missing something?

Right... way too small. That's 1.5" shorter than my current tires. A tiny bit larger I'd be Ok with, but I don't want smaller.

I thought they made potentzas in other sizes. Anyway Yea, go with Defenders for sure.
