How much tread is on the Energy Savers, Ecky? And How much would you want for them?
I wouldn't mind buying three more if they have decent tread. I could make those last until my Elio is ready.

They look like they're nearly new. I'll need to source some RE92's and read on prices before I toss out a number.

Tire rack has then for 75 a pop iirc. It's not worth it for me to get them from there, as they wants 52.16 for shipping, so before mounting/balancing I'm paying 85.54 per tire, after mounting and balancing I could just pay the 102 a piece at America's tire, and get lifetime balance/rotation at the same time for free. I think America's tire wanted 390 for all 4 mounted and balanced, they were gonna give me a 'deal'.

Nope.

I pumped them up to 50psi and put my moon caps back on.

When's the last time you did the cap/rotor/plugs/air filter, my car responded very positively to iridium plugs though most still recommend copper. I'm also running defenders and compared to the Douglas tires I use to have they are magically quiter, ride better, and roll better

Your gauge just may need to be recalibrated since the new tires are now taller.

I was going to compare my gas mileage to yours however I'm sure you are at a much higher elevation. I think the seventh gen civic was also a bit more portly from the side impact air bags and sound deadening and suspension bits. Does your car have a rear sway bar?

Well...

Cap and rotor have never been done as they do not exist on my car. Plugs were done ~20k miles ago. Air filter may be due again, but studies have proven that even severely clogged filters have little to no impact on fuel economy.

The difference in height from fully worn old tires to brand new tires accounts for only about 1.5%. I didn't feel that was enough to try to recalibrate, but the next time I'm around an odometer check point, I'll see if I can dial it in some.

Curb weight for my HX is 2434lbs vs 2370lbs for the 2000 HX. A little heavier, but not much. I've also removed some weight (power steering bits, surprisingly heavy spoiler, muffler, misc other bits) but added a sub. Probably still a net loss overall of 20-30lbs.

No rear sway bar.

I can agree with the magically quieter and ride better though. Even at 50psi they are much less harsh than the old tires and I am still surprised at how little road noise there is.

Shows how much I know about the d17's lol. Your mileage to the tank is very similar to what I'm getting in mixed city and highway with no modifications so you should see a jump in mileage.

You should also have the screen setup to view secondary 02 sensor when the car is in lean burn

Um... look again at the pic I posted yesterday... Top right corner.

Yeah, I should see a jump in mileage, that's what's bothering me. Today, I managed 53mpg on my test run. That's still a big drop from where I typically am. Factor in all the city driving and hills (more than half of my driving), and this tank is shaping up to be around 37-38mpg, a record low for me.
