Chevy Sprint, oddly is a rare car and it is indeed the father to the metro in every way, even down to the brand it came from and the 1 ltr motor.

Too bad they are so hard to locate, they make a great metro

Also smurf thank you for the complement. The pictures don't do it justice tho. The interior is very clean. Only two small tears in the headliner and seats are in great condition. Who ever had it before me took very good care of it.

And rmay they are super rare because they are hard to get through emissions testing so a lot of people scraped them a long time ago. Even junk yards now adays don't even have them. The one advantage they have against the metro is that they are lighter they only weigh in at around 1400 pounds. If I could find a metro xfi power plant imagine the possibilities.

There was a Sprint ER, basically the XFi version. Interesting (or not!) fact, the Metro XFi ECU was labeled ER.

Secret of the Sprint ER?

Envy.

I was 18 that year and even then, full of teenage hormones and whatnot, I thought a 3-cyl Sprint was a cool little car. I liked to drive fast, sometimes...but liked driving farther better. And when you mow lawns for gas money, farther = gooder.

Nice find, enjoy it.

Funny thing about the er is that it only had one less hp but got 5 better mpgs. Lol. Little different on a couple engine things and a different final drive. Wouldn't mind finding one of those. But those are rarrrreeeeeeee.

Its too bad our country junks cars at the rate they do, in reality it would be more economical in terms of materials excluding labor to simply rebuild/update cars.

Ah well.

Well rmay. We all gotta do our part so save them from the wrecker like I do. I would gladly pay a couple hundred bucks for a car rather than see it crushed. Could be why I have like 10 cars. Lol. Just doing my share.
