Arrow 1997 Honda Civic HX

Year- 1997
Make-Honda
Model-Civic HX
Mileage-192,xxx
Location- White Lake, MI
Price- $2800
Contact info: artur1808@gmail.com or (248) 245-4239

Good:
-Averages over 40mpg mixed city/highway (all time high of 52mpg average over a tank of gas)
-Runs and drives great
-New Radiator last summer
-New Tires less than a year ago
-New fuel filter and air filter a few weeks ago
-Clean and not rusty
-Power locks and windows
-Has Aux input hooked up to factory radio
-Has A/C, but has a small leak at the o-rings where the lines meet the compressor
-Heat works great
-Clean title
-Only "modification" is an upper grill block

Not so good:
-Front bumper isn't the best, it has some chips and stuff from lots of highway driving
-Rear bumper has a small hole in it (I got bumped in a parking lot on a cold winter day)
-Windshield has a crack, but it's below the line of sight so it isn't a big issue

That pretty much sums it up, I'm not in any hurry to sell it so I'm fairly firm on the price but I'm open to offers. Worst case scenario is that I'll say "no thank you" or try to negotiate a deal so don't hesitate to offer. I've always taken good care of it, and am happy to keep driving it, I'm just looking to see if there is any interest out there. This car has been a great commuter and has a ton of potential for ecomods.

When was the last time the timing belt was done? Because if recently, that price is an extremely good one. I have already spend 3k on my civic and all the repairs still aren't done.

Looks pretty clean on the outside and the interior. Back seats alright? Where was it originally purchased? Just wondering too... what happened to the HX badge on the trunk lid (it's not there)?

As far as the timing belt, the previous owner claimed to have replaced it and the water pump at about 140k because the water pump bearing started making noise. He had a few pictures of the replacement and some receipts for parts. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find those anymore (it's been a few years) so you can make what you will of that.

The back seats are fine (see pictures). They could probably use a quick cleaning because they don't get much use/attention, but I'd obviously take care of that before the sale. I'm not sure where it was originally purchased, I purchased it in Holly, Michigan in December 2011. And the HX badge was missing when I bought the car, but if you look close enough you can just barely see the residue left over from the badge.

I apologize for the poor quality pictures, it was kind of dark as I was leaving work this morning. I can try to take some more this afternoon if anyone is interested.

Well even then, at this price it's a steal. I hope it goes to a good home, if I was you I wouldn't budge off the price your asking for. The fact it's rust free is a major plus, and it ups the value greatly. I recently saw a 98 HX sell for 4200, but it only had 135k miles on it.

I agree, the rust was one of the major selling points when I was buying the car. I think the price is very fair and I'm glad you agree, hopefully there is a buyer out there that sees the value in these cars. It seems like the HX's are becoming more and more rare. And while the miles are pretty high, you could never tell that just by driving it. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this thing anywhere.
