OK, enough of this lousy winter mileage!
How close was the ScanGauge? Got it dialed in yet?

Nah, the SG was low. It was around 35 mpg. I corrected it and think it should be pretty close next time assuming I don't have any short fill problems again.

Is the metro as sluggish as the Insight is without the IMA battery? Or does the Metro have taller gearing to compensate for the lack of any other form of assistance?

What's the Insight's flat out 0-60 mph time without IMA assist?
I never tested mine ... surprise, surprise!

I've driven both, and I'd say the Insight (without assist) has more pep, but only because you can wind it out. Also, at speed, the Insight has the advantage because of its vastly better aero. At lower speeds, they're pretty comparable.

Woohoo, I finally got a second to install my own shift knob with integrated kill switch! Here are some pics:
Here is the OEM shift knob with my momentary switch zip tied to it. It worked well, but its time to upgrade! Next to it is my 3d printed custom shift knob with integrated switches. My shift knob actually has 2 switches integrated into it. One is a kill switch and the other will be a start switch. The starter switch isn't wired up yet though.
To make installation easier, I used some crimp on blade connectors.
And here it is installed. I wrapped the shifter shaft in some electrical tape to hide the wires.
I took it for a spin to church last night and back, and of course my commute in this morning. I really like it. I can't wait to hook up the starter switch!
