Here we go, I got some pictures. It was still drizzling, but here they are:
The rocker panels are pretty bad.
A little bubbling on the hood.
This is the worse of the two rear wheel wells. The other isn't bad at all really.
Here we have the adorable 1.0L.
I thought this might be an oil leak, but it also might just be from spilling when filling up? We'll see once I get it cleaned up.
Is this tube supposed to be connected to something?
Ladies and gentlemen, the worlds LARGEST grill for the car that really doesn't need it at all. <--- haha, kinda looks like that smiley face
I forgot to get some pics of the control arm rust. I'll do that another day. I only saw one hole in the driver's side mount. I didn't get a chance to look at the passenger side, but it appears to be in better shape.

Yeah, but YMMV. My typical usage is pretty ideal: Rarely any short trips; mostly cruising secondary highways. Probably more fuel-friendly than Mr Doax's commute.
Also: my car gets better MPG because it's much more ecomodded than his will be this winter (or evar!).

Haha, we'll see. Mid to high 50s would still make me pretty happy. Heck, just having a manual transmission car is so much nicer at this point.
Here are some interior pics. As you can see its in great shape. One nice perk I noticed as soon as I opened up the doors were the nice all weather mats! No mega salt stains that are typical of nearly every car in this area. It also came with a new front exhaust section too (which it doesn't appear to actually need).

The old Metro upholstery holds up really well compared to some other makes' older cars (Honda, I'm looking at you).

The seats are fairly comfortable too, except lacking in lumbar support.

.
Get it aligned when you get a chance. It probably needs it. The alignment seems to affect the mpg more so than with other cars because of it being relatively under powered (55hp).

The front tires are worn down pretty bad, but the wear is even. I'll check it with a tape measure. Though, it does pull to the right just a little.
